- White Dry Peas is also called Safed Watana.

- White Vatana (Dried peas) like Green peas is a variety of beans that are spherical in shape and are produced by harvesting the pea pods when they are fully matured and then drying them.

- Once they are dried and their skins are removed they naturally split. When dried peas boil, foam forms on the top of the cooking liquid and it is water- soluble protein which is released from the beans and gets absorbed back into the bean when cooked liquid.

- They are essential in making delicious dishes like Ragada Patice, Missal Pav etc.
